BOOK PROGRESS

It’s been a busy year working on designs, gardens and writing my book, Mien Ruys: Mother of Modernist Gardens. We’ve managed to squeeze in three photography trips to the Netherlands, in May, June and September, to cover the main seasons of interest. It’s been wonderful to be able to travel again, and I feel very privileged to have been allowed into people’s homes and workplaces in order to visit some truly unique and historically important gardens. I’m so excited to see the book in person at some point, having spent four years researching and writing it. The manuscript is now with the publisher, Lund Humphries, and the plan is for publication to be in autumn this year.
