June is here and that can only mean one thing… time to start working on Hampton Court Flower Show again!

With spring finally here, now is the time to get outdoors and start gardening. Gardening is a fantastic activity to involve kids in. With most of us now spending an estimated 90% of our lives indoors, time in the garden, yard or allotment is the perfect way to get kids outdoors and active, and the perfect antidote to gaming, tablets and TV.

Having helped with the build-up, this week I visited the show to see the finished gardens.

I’ve been lucky enough to be part of the build-up this year and have been helping out on Jonathan Snow’s garden for Trailfinders.

Front gardens are valuable habitats for urban wildlife. They provide food for pollinators and homes for birds and invertebrates.

Recently I had the pleasure of spending a morning at the local primary school and planting with one of the reception classes.
